This is a pen I bought for the price of $100 in Montreal Canada during this year’s trip. Since my 40th birthday I made myself a promise to buy myself a fountain pens every 6 months. Starting my birthday and 6months in the year which reminds me that half a year has passed and makes me realize the span of time and the progress I made so far.
I kept it for this birthday of mine and told myself after past few fountain pens now I can give myself a decent handmade one from an artist.
Just the feeling of having such and giving myself such a gift made me feel better about how far I have come.
When I was in college it was always my dream to be able to journal and use fountain pens as my tool of writing. Though it is many years I am writing and journalling but it is now that I have realized how far I have come.

Writing makes me feel at ease and it became a habit of mine in which I can calm and relax myself. When I look back at my older journals, I see many changes in me and the path I have travelled so far in life and this makes me feel both happy and sad.
I’ve learned in life not everything is achievable and there are many factors that makes a man succeed. I’ve learned the influence of environment, local economy and government and the rules and regulations have much effect to one’s life as his hard work, consistency and effort.
Also not to forget the importance of one’s partner, family and friends. The books and the people we spent much of our times also makes one’s life journey turn different paths. Time, money or stuffs, it doesn’t matter. What matters is knowing one values the existence of self.
Let this pen be reminder that goals are achievable and happiness is when one spends for him or herself. I Am, therefore I write, therefore I Have.
“The Greatest gift you can give yourself is a little bit of your own attention”.
