After waiting so long I was able to watch the movie and as usual with the help of great actors and actresses the film was as beautiful as before with the little touch of humor which made the movie even better. Though over all the story is similar to those of James Bond but since I am a MI Movies Fan, I still like to consider it in little ways, different.

This time the focus of the story is about an AI which went rogue and released itself to control everything. As usual the agonist and antagonist of the movie is USA but I was waiting for the movie specially that in was about AI and its possible future.

It became even more interesting to me after hearing the news that Joe Biden requested for law making around AI after watching this movie himself.

But I am here to share with you what quotes has interested me and gave me some insights specially regarding life, because our own life is the only thing we may have control upon, specially the decisions we make. And the best way in the world that make us grow is living, hence we try to learn to grow in life and make the most out of it.

Ethan (Tom Cruz) appears in a scene where he reminds the delivery boy to ask him the verifying questions and one was “What is the Oath?” where Ethan replies while thinking deeply about his answer  “We live and die in the shadows, for those we hold close, and for those we never meet.”

Imagine having such a mission in life, no matter in what field but what if we live in a way that both those who are close to us and those whom may never know us would benefit from our existence. That means living to be useful for mankind in many ways. Imagine a teacher who teaches skills and shapes a student’s mind for the future. The beliefs and lessons that may effect not only that student but definitely will effect the children and family of that person. So that teacher should be more careful  on what she/he says in a class. Even more a father or a mother who raises a kid. If they will have the oath that Ethan just said in mind then they will know how their influence on their children can effect their succeeding generations.

Then maybe the right question to ask ourselves is if I too consider such an oath useful and beneficial to ourselves and people around us then how can we keep such an oath. To live and die regardless of recognition for those who are close to us and those whom may never know. Wouldn’t that be a Nobel Act.

Some may say I am already old or passed the age or opportunity of devoting my life to such an oath. Some may say that my past and people who influenced me didn’t give me the chance to believe and act on such a belief. This reminds me of another quote in the same movie where Eugene Kittridge (Director of CIA) tell Ethan “We cannot escape the past. Some of us are doomed to repeat it.” I agree on this. We never can erase and scape from our past and definitely we no longer can change it. But as the character said, if we don’t do anything now and we wont decide to make the changes we need to make now, then we will be doomed to repeat those pasts as well.

So  if you want to make a great change then let’s try to take the oath and just try to act on it. No matter how small our actions maybe.

I remembered an incident where a friend shared with me about the time when he traveled abroad to visit his brother. While walking on the pedestrian with his brother and 5 year old niece, he opened up a gum and instead of throwing its wrap into trashcan he just dropped it on the ground. As they continued a couple of steps ahead his niece (His brother’s 5 year old son) ran back and picked up the bubblegum wrap and threw it into trashcan. he then turned back to hold his dad’s hand while smiling to his uncle. My friend said: “just that incident which took few seconds made me feel sorry about myself and looked at my brother with shame. Since then I promised myself not to throw any trash on the ground and pick up any if I saw along my way. I told myself I have to teach this lesson to my children and family if ever I will have.”

Imagine one life lesson given by a father can reach generations of his brother in the future even if he wont be able to see them. That little act is just following the oath that Ethan has taken. I myself loved it and consider to take it seriously.
